In partnership with the Company CWP, PEXIM scholarships for 2023/24 have been awarded to Vladimir Radenkovic and Nikola Bakoc from Serbia.

Nikola will pursue his MPhil in Energy Technologies. His previous academic background includes double majors in Mechanical and Electrical engineering from Yale University. In response to his frustration with mistreatment of energy resources, Nikola developed an academic passion for renewable energy and sustainability. After working for Company Tesla as a Solar Roof Mechanical Engineer Intern, he started working for Company CWP Europe to develop wind and solar farms in Serbia and Europe.

Vladimir will pursue an MPhil in Advanced Computer Science. Previously, he earned a BSc in Software Engineering from the School of Electrical Engineering, University of Belgrade. In addition to his scholar visit to Temple University’s Center for Data Analytics and Biomedical Informatics, he completed a summer internship with financial planning firm, Marinnen LLC, in Philadelphia, US.

Both candidates demonstrated strong academic skills, but more importantly, strong willingness to support their colleagues and their communities.
