We have established a new strategic partnership with the NGO “Returning Point”.
Returning Point was founded in 2020 with the goal of providing comprehensive support to Serbian returnees, whether they are returning to the country, starting a business venture, or pursuing a scientific or professional career.
Their role is to facilitate returnees’ connections with Serbia, help establish cooperation with local talents and initiatives, and improve communication between Serbian society abroad and at home.
Over the years, their focus has evolved. In addition to supporting returnees, they also assist those who are leaving, particularly for studying, to facilitate their return.
Returning Point is an organisation that not only addresses returnee needs but also actively supports circular migration and the integration of Serbian talents. This makes it distinctive in its mission and approach. Its founders are “Serbian Entrepreneurs” and the Science and Technology Park Belgrade, with support from the “Serbia Creates” platform.
Their focus of work is fairly compatible with ours, especially when it comes to enabling the smooth return of Serbian talents. In addition, they support the ecosystem in Serbia in which they can thrive.
Their current director is Uros Zivkovic, a Cambridge alumnus who has an in-person understanding of the profound impact a year at Cambridge can make.
Our partnership with them envisions funding one scholar a year. They have also contributed to our other initiatives and sponsored our September farewell event.
