Andrej Jakovljević

MPhil in Advanced Computer Science

Andrej completed his MPhil in Advanced Computer Science at Hughes Hall College. He specialized in operating systems and programming languages compilers during his studies. After returning to Serbia, he is working as a software engineer, using his skills to contribute to the transition into the AI age. In addition, he will continue to provide his support and knowledge to the Physics department ant the Petnica Science Centre, where he has been a mentor to high school students for six years.

Emilija Đorđević

MPhil in Machine Learning and Machine Intelligence

Emilija is completing her MPhil in Machine Learning and Machine Intelligence at the University of Cambridge as a member of King’s College. After returning to Serbia, she will be working as an Applied AI Scientist. She aims to contribute to the thriving AI scene in Serbia and envisions her work on practical projects making a significant impact in the coming years. She also intends to maintain her involvement with the Physics Department of Petnica Science Centre, where she has been mentoring high school students for the past five years.

Maša Njegovan

MPhil in Environmental Policy

Masa is an economist by education with 8 years of professional experience in the ICT and renewable energy sectors. She completed her MPhil course in Environmental Policy at Queens’ College at the University of Cambridge. Masa also holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Economics and Management and a Master’s degree in Economics and Management of Innovation and Technology from Bocconi University.

Ognjen Milićević

MPhil in Finance

Ognjen has completed the MPhil degree in Finance at the University of Cambridge at Queens’ College. He is currently working as a User Acquisition Specialist at Nordeus, a gaming company based in Serbia. He aims to develop his skills at the intersection of finance and marketing and contribute to the vibrant technology ecosystem in the Republic of Serbia.

Marko Purić

MPhil in Finance

Marko completed his MPhil in Finance course at Judge Business School for which he received a full scholarship from the PEXIM Foundation, in cooperation with CWPR. Marko joined CWPR in 2020 as a Financial Analyst.

Jovana Kovačević

MPhil in Management

Jovana completed her MPhil in Management studies at Queens’ College at the University of Cambridge Judge Business School. She hopes to contribute to Serbia’s prosperity by working on various international university research projects, implementing her knowledge in engineering, as well as fundamental management skills.


Jelena Dumić

MPhil in Theoretical and Applied Linguistics

Jelena completed an MPhil course in Theoretical and Applied Linguistics at the University of Cambridge as a member of Fitzwilliam College. Her goal is to specialise in the field of cognitive linguistics, pragmatics, psycholinguistics and first language acquisition in order to develop a linguistic programme which would be available for teachers working with autistic children.


Jovana Rubežić

Master of Law (LL.M.)

As a recipient of the CIRSD PEXIM Cambridge scholarship, Jovana completed her Master of Law (LL.M.) studies at Queens’ College at the University of Cambridge. She focused on International Economic and Investment Law related courses because it is her strong belief that, by implementing effective legislation, Serbia may steer its economy so as to minimise the government’s influence on trade, which would, in turn, ameliorate the business climate and help finalise the process of transition.

Dušan Savić

MPhil in Management

After his MPhil course in Management studies at Jesus College at the University of Cambridge Judge Business School, Dusan has been working as an Associate at Peterhof Consulting & EDU in Serbia.


Emil Maid

MPhil in Advanced Computer Science

After graduating from the University of Cambridge, MPhil in Advanced Computer Science, Emil interned at Royal Dutch Shell in London as a Data Analyst for 3 months. Afterwards, he returned to Serbia where he started working as a Software Engineer at RT-RK.


Nikola Petrović

Master of Law (LL.M.)

After his graduation at the University of Cambridge, Nikola was elected to be the Serbian UN Youth delegate and was appointed to a status in line with that of an advisor on questions of Youth to the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Serbia to the United Nations.

Iva Ivanov

Master of Law (LL.M.)

After graduating from the Master of Law program (LL.M.) program at Queens’ College at the University of Cambridge, Faculty of Law, focusing on International Commercial Law courses, Iva is currently working as a Consultant to the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Serbia, Sector for Fiscal System, Department for Corporate Taxation.

Milka Dokuzova

MPhil in Architecture and Urban Studies

Milka Dokuzova graduated from the Faculty of Architecture in Skopje, obtaining a Master of Architecture degree in 2014 with GPA 9.02. From 2013 until 2016 she worked as a teaching/research associate at the Faculty of Architecture in Skopje. During her studies and her time as a teaching associate, she took part in many international workshops and seminars which, among the other things, led to her interest in pursuing a research degree in the field of architecture and urban studies with a focus on socio-politics and the city.


Kosta Živanović

MPhil in Technology Policy

Upon his return from Cambridge, Kosta started working as a Strategy Consultant in Serbia. Kosta is one of the board members for Youth and UNESCO associations in Serbian National Commission for cooperation with UNESCO.


Jelena Todić

Master of Law (LL.M.)

Jelena returned home to accomplish the goal she set during her PEXIM scholarship interview in 2016 – to assist Serbia in joining the World Trade Organization. She became part of the Prime Minister’s team working on the country’s accession. To further accelerate the process, she spent several months in Geneva to support the WTO Secretariat’s work on Serbia’s accession.


Jovana Gjorgjiovska

MPhil in Social and Developmental Psychology

Jovana is currently working as a Researcher & Analyst at the Department for Public Relations in the Office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of North Macedonia. In her free time, Jovana is actively contributing to international research projects on topics such as emotional intelligence, youth emigration and mental health trends in the LGBTQ population.

“As 25% of the Macedonian population, young people have enormous potential to accelerate the country’s progress towards economic stability and democratic values. Through my activities in diverse domains, I’m hoping to inspire them to break the ice and implement their often brilliant ideas."

Tamara Nora Živković

MPhil in Environmental Policy

Prior to her studies at the University of Cambridge, Nora was awarded by the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) a BSc with a First Class Honours in International Relations (IR). Nora won an LSE Student Union (SU) Outstanding Society Member Award 2014-2015 for her contribution to the LSE student community as the Finance Director in the LSE SU Enactus (Entrepreneurial-Act-Us) society. As the founding president of the LSE SU International Security society, Nora established cooperation with two international security organisations, the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) and the Geneva Centre for the Democratic Control of Armed Forces (DCAF).


Iva Jugović

MPhil in Public Healthy

Prior to being selected as PEXIM Foundation scholar, Iva graduated as summa cum laude from the University of Maine. She earned a degree in Biochemistry with a minor in Spanish Language. She was a trustee of the International Student Tuition Scholarship, the Natural Sciences, Forestry and Agriculture Scholarship, as well as the President Winthrop C. Libby/Reverend Pavlos T. Taiganides Award. This award is given for extraordinary contributions to internationals relations throughout the University of Maine community including participation in student activities, scholastic achievements and moral leadership. Iva is a member of Phi Beta Kappa - First National Honor Society and Pi Mu Epsilon-Mathematical Honor Society. Iva was a Vice President of International Student Association and a member of International Dance Festival and ‘Culture Fest’, events that invite students to educate and display their culture to the community at large. Iva worked as Resident Assistant, a Learning Assistant for General Chemistry and Pre-Calculus, and well as Teaching Assistant for Organic Chemistry.


Stefan Badža

MAST in Physics

Since his return, Stefan has been working as an analyst in the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government on public sector reform. After that he moved to work in the Office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia on projects that focus on improving the IT and Innovation ecosystem in Serbia, and that are helping transform Serbia into a knowledge-based economy. Some of the key projects that he works on are developing the network on Science and Technological Parks in Serbia, startup ecosystem and research and innovation in artificial intelligence field.

Stefan Anđelković

MAST in Physics

Since his return from Cambridge to Serbia, Stefan worked as a Bioinformatics Analyst at Seven Bridges Genomics, Belgrade and as a Bioinformatics Engineer at Persida, Belgrade. Currently, he is doing a PhD in Computational Biology at Carnegie Mellon University and University of Pittsburgh, in Pittsburgh, PA, USA. His research interests are systems biology, cancer-related signalling pathways, automation of scientific research, and biomedical applications of machine learning.

Miro Vukoje

MAST in Pure Mathematics

Miro graduated from the University of Novi Sad, Faculty of Sciences and Mathematics (Applied Mathematics) with GPA 10. He received numerous awards from his University for outstanding results.


Ivona Čicković

MPhil in Economics

Ivona completed the Belgrade Mathematical Grammar School and graduated from the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Economics (International Finance) with GPA 9.3. Parallel with her undergraduate studies, she completed the one-year Multidisciplinary Undergraduate Program in Social Sciences and Humanities implemented by the Belgrade Open School (BOS).

Valentina Čolić

MPhil in Finance

After her return, Valentina worked as a junior advisor to the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia for two years and as a chief analyst in an economic think-tank for a year and a half. She recently joined the start-up scene in Serbia by establishing a brand of high-quality artisan nut spreads called Nut Enough.

“I want to inspire young people studying or living abroad to come back to Serbia and help them overcome their prejudices – yes, it is possible to get a job in the Serbian Government without being politically involved and it is possible to establish your own company without much stress regardless the bureaucratic burden."

Nevena Krstičić

Master of Law (LL.M.)

Nevena received her undergraduate degree from the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Law (Department of International Law). In the past, she was awarded two scholarships -- one from Belgrade City Council (the Most Talented Student of Belgrade) and one from the Ministry of Youth and Sports (Fund for Young Talents). She passed the Bar exam in 2011 and specialized in data protection law. She has been advising and representing trade associations and businesses in their dealings with the European Commission and governments.

Una Savić

MPhil in Finance

Una holds an undergraduate degree in Economics and Quantitative Finance and has been awarded as the best student in her generation by the Faculty of Economics, University of Belgrade, Serbia. Prior to being accepted at Cambridge, Una has worked as a teaching assistant at the Faculty of Economics, University of Belgrade.


Milena Milićević

MPhil in Management

Milena graduated from Judge Business School, The University of Cambridge, with an MPhil in Management degree. She was at Murray Edwards College. Prior to Cambridge, Milena also obtained MA in English Language and Literature from the Faculty of Philology at The University of Belgrade.

Dušan Kanazir

Master of Law (LL.M.)

Prior to graduating law at the top of his class at Union University in Belgrade, Serbia, Dusan interned and worked in the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia (ICTY) in the Hague. He successfully took part in multiple international moot court competitions and professional conferences, and attended several summer schools and trainings on law related topics. He also trained poll watchers and GOTV activists for electoral campaigns.


Tijana Gajić

MPhil in Inovation, Strategy and Organisation

Tijana graduated from Judge Business School, University of Cambridge, with a Master's degree in Innovation, Strategy and Organisation. She holds a BSc degree from the Faculty of Economics, University of Belgrade (major: Finance, Banking and Insurance).



Leana Ugrinovska

MPhil in Development Studies

Upon graduating from Cambridge, Leana returned to Macedonia and worked in the cabinet of the Deputy Prime Minister of Macedonia in charge of economy.


Majda Josevska

MPhil in Education

Majda graduated from Wolfson College, University of Cambridge, with an MPhil in Education, specifically in Educational Research. She has a BA in Psychology from the State University "St. Kiril and Metodij", Skopje, graduating with a research paper on Gender Stereotypes in Macedonian Films. Her areas of interest include quality assurance in education, social justice and multiculturalism.

Upon his return from Cambridge, Borjan started working at Deloitte - first as a Consultant for Strategy & Operations (2011-2015) and now as an Associate for the Financial Advisory Services.

Marko graduated from St Edmund’s College, University of Cambridge, in July 2011, with a Master's degree in Applied Mathematics. He holds a Bachelor degree from the Faculty of Science and Mathematics, University of Belgrade, Serbia.

Upon his return to North Macedonia, Aleksandar was employed as Healthcare Adviser to the Prime Minister of the Republic of North Macedonia.

Ivana graduated from Clare Hall, Judge Business School, University of Cambridge, in July 2011, with a Master's degree in Technology Policy. She holds a Bachelor degree in International Logistics Management and International Logistics Engineering from Jacobs University, Bremen, Germany.
