Mina Stojic

Mina is currently pursuing an MPhil in Industrial Systems, Manufacture and Management as a member of Pembroke College. With the practical knowledge acquired from her Master’s education, her short term goals are to aid Serbia’s industrial techno economic development through her expertise in engineering and manufacturing management.

Previously, she has acquired her Bachelor of Engineering with Honours in Mechanical Engineering degree from the London South Bank University earlier this year, achieving a First Class Honours qualification with an average grade 9/10. Alongside her studies she was a Formula Student Team Manager, Student Ambassador and Residential Community Ambassador. She spent a placement year in industry working for Cummins, as a design and analysis engineer within the component validation team. Additionally, she had also been an active member of the community and Serbia’s ambassador by organising and participating in Multicultural and STEM Ambassador programs. Among other accomplishments she had organised an INWED Cummins 2024 panel and had been an active member of Girl Engineering Club. In 2021 she participated in Mayor of London Entrepreneurship Challenge Finals where she presented a technological start up business idea of Smart Fire Alarm Systems to the panel of London’s most prominent entrepreneurs. In 2022, she was selected to represent LSBU at COP27 Simulation Model in Egypt, where she acted as a Rapporteur for EU within the program, all with a goal of broadening understanding of how engineering projects can mitigate effects of climate change and environmental impacts.

Our scholars embody the values we cherish: academic excellence, intellectual curiosity and a deep-rooted commitment to the socio-economic strengthening of Serbia and North Macedonia.

Mina had been an active member of OSSI UK branch with regular collaborations with the Serbian Embassy in London through various student lead initiatives and cross-collaborations between the Embassy and OSSI UK.

In her free time she enjoys travelling and spending time in the nature, learning new languages and a cup of good coffee!

Fun fact: Mina started running European half marathon series two years ago and had been a competitive dancer prior to that. She is also learning Chinese.
