
Stefan Anđelković
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Stefan graduated from MASt course in Physics, at St Edmund’s college, University of Cambridge, Department of Physics, as a Pexim scholar in the cohort 2015/16. Upon graduation, he worked as Bioinformatics Engineer in Seven Bridges Genomics, and later Persida. Currently, he is completing his joint PhD degree in Computational Biology from Carnegie Mellon University and University of Pittsburgh.
Before studying at Cambridge, he studied Theoretical and Experimental Physics at the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Physics. During the course of his undergraduate studies, he did summer internships at Weizmann Institute of Science and CERN. Additionally, he taught high school students Astronomy in Mathematical Grammar School and Petnica Science Centre. In 2015 and 2016 he served as a Team Leader on Serbian national team at International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics, where as a high school student he won a silver medal (in 2011) and a bronze medal (in 2010).
In July 2024, Stefan was elected as the President of PEXIM's alumni and he is now driving the Foundation's mission in his capacity as the Executive Director of the PEXIM Foundation.
