Following the success of its mentorship workshops, the PEXIM Foundation proudly presents its new PEXIM 1-on-1 Mentoring Program as another demonstration of its dedication to support the young talents from Serbia and North Macedonia realise their professional and academic potentials.
The role of mentors is of utmost importance in professional and personal development of young people. As someone who has already crossed the path that a candidate should take, mentors are perfectly positioned to support the candidates’ professional growth by sharing their career advice and access to their professional networks, while pointing out the opportunities and challenges faced along their career paths. Mentors will also support candidates in their personal development by identifying the candidates’ strengths, empowering those strengths and pointing out the areas for growth.
The program is primarily intended for final year students and those at the very beginning of their careers, while the applications are open to all who would benefit from the support and advice of PEXIM mentors in further development. Selected candidates will have regular meetings with their personal mentors to discuss their plans for further career development and/or academic progress and receive advice and support. Successful candidates with get a chance to learn more about the work of the PEXIM Foundations, life as a student at the University of Cambridge and get support in the application process for master studies.
The mentors participating in the Initiative are the PEXIM Foundation alumni who graduated from the University of Cambridge and achieved successful careers. Academic backgrounds of the Mentors are diverse – ranging from application of artificial intelligence and machine learning, to international law and management. In addition to their academic achievements, the Mentors possess substantial professional experience in implementation of projects and work for multinational companies.
