Continental Wind Serbia (CWS), part of the US company Continental Wind Partners (CWP), has decided to donate €15,000 to the PEXIM Foundation in order to support its work and increase its financial pool for scholarships available to students from Serbia and Macedonia.
“We recruited some of our best employees in Serbia from Cambridge – Tijana Gajic, who’s a PEXIM scholar and is now part of the PEXIM Alumni network; and Zeljko Djuric, who received scholarship from the Open Society Fund and is currently an “adopted” member of the PEXIM Foundation. The experience they gained at the University of Cambridge, their work ethics and perseverance truly and immeasurably contributed to our business in Serbia. For this reason, we decided to support the PEXIM Foundation and help them provide as many scholarships as possible in the future. We believe this will contribute to Serbia’s EU integration and the country’s advancement”, said Mark Crandall, Chairman of CWP at the PEXIM Cambridge dinner, held in May, when he was announcing the company’s decision to support the PEXIM Foundation.
CWP works in Serbia since 2009 on development of the wind farm in the Municipality of Kovin. The total capacity of the wind farm will be around 150 MW and the total investment in Serbia is €280 million.
